Legend is extruded from 100% virgin compound from the 50,000 tonne compound blending facility in Nottinghamshire. Tooling

Legend is technically a great system but because the tools were old, the extrusion quality and finish was not up to the standards we produce for Shield and SynerJy customers. It's easy for companies to think they're saving money by bleeding every last metre from an extrusion tool, but quality will always suffer.

"It's essential to have good tooling for a consistent finish," says Steve Musgrave, Synseal's Manufacturing Director. "That's why we are changing every tool in the Legend suite in a £1.4 million investment programme. The first tools are already up and running; and the others will be here soon. The feedback from customers has been great."
